Fire Safety Every individual lives in hope that trouble will stay away. But none of us is immune to emergency, including fire. Sometimes, danger awaits us where no one can expect it: on water, on the beach, on the road and in the woods, in a hospital or at home, at a summer house, or even in a kindergarten. Fire is our most frequent in the residential zone. Such accident is always unexpected, a disaster for everyone, so citizens need to know how to act and respond to fire. Therefore, citizens need to be regularly reminded the emergency telephone numbers of the services to be called for assistance in case of fire. This awareness program among others also raises the issue of individual citizen’s assistance to the fire department, including by respecting the fire engines on the road. It is not always possible to prevent a fire, but it can be done in some cases. In this connection, a social awareness program has been developed as requested by the Federal Fire Service. The program is designed to keep the citizens informed of the ways to prevent fires, and the correct ways to respond to emergency if it happens. The culture of safe behavior instilled in the public awareness may prevent loss of human lives. |
