TNT, 2x2 and TVC Named As the Most Socially Active TV Channels of 2009
Nomination Socially Responsible Mass Media: Active Promotion of Social Advertising on the Air and in Print was the most controversial award. TNT channel was declared the winner by expert poll. And according to the Gallup Media research presented by TNS Russia as the conference partner, 2x2 and TVC channels came as award winners.
In nomination Active Creators of Social Advertising, BBDO-Moscow advertising agency was the winner. ‘This is fair, - says the conference manager Guzella Nikolaishvili. – And I'd like to mention the creative agency Movie and Ogilvy’.
BBDO spokesperson Varvara Penzova said, ‘All this became possible only thanks to the creative activity of people working for BBDO. Our entire group is all about charity. Everyone is involved, top executives down to entry-level’.
Olga Suvorova presented the award in nomination Proactive Government Representatives: Contribution to the Development and Promotion of Social Advertising in Russia. She said that in recent decades taught NGOs how to cooperate with officials: ‘I remember I heard it first 10 years back in a government office, Sure, we can help and support. These words were followed by action. We are profoundly grateful to those who supported us back then, when social advertising was virtually not heard of. And this nomination is a way to express our gratitude for those who care, for their contribution that makes this world better, kinder and safer’, - Olga Suvorova said. The award-winner Larisa Dementieva said, ‘I was really surprised when they told me I won the nomination. For me, there is no life without NGOs. I believe that every citizen and every official must be involved. It feels great to be recognized’.
‘Unprecedented number of votes was for Artem Shadrin. He cares a lot about social advertising. We all love him and we congratulate him’, Guzella Nikolaishvili spoke. Social advertising initiatives by such government officials as Natalia Timakova, Vladimir Potanin, Nina Likhacheva, Ella Pamfilova, and Igor Burenkov were also recognized.
